MealPot (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an AI meal-planning app. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Your meal preferences, generated plans, and grocery lists are stored locally on your device. You do not need an account to use the app.
When you generate a meal plan or use the photo tools (Fridge Chef, Calorie Snap), the app sends the relevant input — your meal preferences, and for the photo tools the image you choose — to our secure server, which forwards it to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the result. This data is used only to generate your response and is not used to train models or to build a profile of you. See Anthropic’s privacy policy. The MealPot Pro subscription is processed by Apple and by our payments provider, RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a non-identifying, randomly generated app user ID and your subscription status so it can be restored across your devices. We do not receive your name, email, or payment card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.
We use PostHog to collect anonymous, product-usage events (for example, which features are used) so we can improve the app. This data is tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email. See PostHog’s privacy policy.
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the performance of advertising campaigns that promote the app. With your permission (requested through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), this may include your device’s advertising identifier and may be used to track installs and in-app events across apps and websites owned by other companies, for advertising and measurement. If you decline the tracking prompt, this identifier is not used. You can change your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Meta’s privacy policy.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
